This course is both theoretical and practical. It presents different theoretical approaches to leadership and leadership styles. It also offers strategies for students to develop leadership through peer and self-evaluation exercises that promote these abilities.

 We will think critically about effective leadership, the traits and ethics that should accompany it, the motivation that guides leaders, and how they influence and motivate others to utilize power and promote change.

You will find the material posted on the corresponding week.

This test will open today, MONDAY 17th, at 7.00pm  and remain open until WEDNESDAY 19th 10.00 pm. This test does not have a grade, but it gives us an idea of ​​what you know now and how to deepen your knowledge throughout the course. Respond as honestly as possible. If you are unsure of the answer, you can go to the next question and return. Once the questionnaire is closed, you cannot take it again.

Unit 9: STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP AND OUTWARD – INWARD ANALYSIS 12/05-17/05

Each team must develop a

1. SWOT and a CANVAS Analysis for  the assigned case

2. Analyze the business's vision, mission, and history, focusing on the “success factors” that got it to where it is now.  Determine should be considered the “core competencies” of the business:

  • How they  provided access to the market
  • How they give value to the customers
  • How they may be difficult for competitors to imitate.

   3. State why these  “core competencies” are critical for the business’s strategy.

   4. Find the 2 Job Descriptions that belong to your case

   5. For each of the two positions referred to in the Job Description, assign 4-5 Key Competencies and the levels necessary. Two should DERIVE FROM THE CORE COMPETENCIES YOUR TEAM DETERMINED FOR YOUR BUSINESS CASE. The rest should be specific to the position.
6. Prepare a presentation to introduce your core and key competencies to the class
You can use the documents: List of Key Competencies and The Top 10 Skills That Will Get You a Job When You Graduate to help you identify the key competencies. You can also think up and/or invent any key competencies you feel are required but are not on the lists.

Deliver a written document and a PowerPoint presentation (no more than 10 minutes)
